We are a small artisanal ceramics workshop based in Málaga. At María Monasterio Ceramic Studio, we specialize in crafting tableware and decorative pieces. Depending on the design, we use a variety of techniques, including the potter’s wheel, hand modeling, slab building, or molds.

Here, you can shop for ceramics online quickly and effortlessly. Our work blends traditional pottery methods with modern, artistic designs, ensuring that the everyday objects you use are not only functional but also visually stunning.

    Ceramic box made on a potter's wheel in cream colour with marine motifs. It can be used as a sugar bowl, for buttons... There are boxes with a sea serpent, a fish, a starfish. It is made of stoneware (clay fired at 1250º) and coloured with pigments and oxides. You can order one with the motif of your choice.     Decorative plate in white with black illustrations. The motif is a fantastic world that I call Dreamlike Ichthyology, which combines the marine world with the terrestrial world creating fantastic creatures and a universe of its own.     Natural sponge of marine origin for use in ceramics replacing traditional synthetic sponges. It is a soft sponge but with a good consistency. Suitable for removing glaze on bisque pieces as well as for finishing and smoothing raw pieces. Approximate dimensions: Small: 5-6cm 2 pieces Medium: 7-8cm 1 piece Another small step to make your workshop more sustainable. Sponges are used constantly, and as they are used they wear out and release small particles that end up going down the drain and eventually into the sea. A very practical tool, not only for cutting the clay but also for retouching and for scraping the glaze on the cutting edge and on the curved part at the back, depending on the shape of the piece.     Trimming tool. It is used to hold the clay piece on the bat when trimming. We have made several prototypes until we arrived at this design which is comfortable and easy to use. Its shape allows the hand to be placed in different positions according to the potter's preference. It is available in two sizes, a smaller one for cups and pieces with a smaller base and a bigger one for plates, etc. It consists of two parts joined by a steel bearing. Each piece is 3D printed in PLA, a plastic material that is ecological, renewable and biodegradable under certain temperature and humidity conditions.
