cerAmic PrOJECTS

Here you will find two different ceramic projects that I have been developing during my professional career

Reborns

The Renacidas project represents one of the main values that I have always tried to reflect in my work, my love for the planet and nature, my fascination and concern for it.

In a ceramic workshop waste is generated continuously, every time you clean the tables, tools, do color tests…. All that material composed of clays, glazes and other substances usually goes down the drain. To avoid this, I thought of ways to recycle and reuse this material.

This is how this collection was born from those sediments that are being decanted. It is a rebirth, a production of unique objects from waste that are given a new value. It is not an easy material to work with, its consistency limits and determines the forms. It speaks for itself. The initial idea changes as you work.

On the other hand, following this same idea of not throwing away, pieces that have been broken are recovered, either during their elaboration once baked or already finished. For this I have been inspired by the Japanese technique “kintsugi”, where objects are given a second life, repairing them, giving them a new value by showing those wounds. Highlighting that damage and turning it into something beautiful.

Renacidas is a personal project in which sustainability and beauty come together. It is a rebirth of ceramic waste and pieces that, after being broken, have a new life.

Sustainability Above All

Sustainability is one of our fundamental pillars, present throughout the studio and every stage of our process. Much of our packaging is recycled or made from recycled supplies. In our ceramics studio, we discard no materials, implementing new processes to reuse leftover resources. We source ingredients from nearby suppliers, run the kilns only when full, avoid waste, and aim to produce as little residue as possible.
