Sustainability in the Ceramic Studio
Sustainability is one of our main objectives. It is always present in the workshop and in every part of the process. We buy materials from nearby suppliers, we use recycled and recyclable packaging, we set the kilns when they are full, we do not waste material and we try to produce as little waste as possible.
We have created a new line of work in which we use the waste generated when testing glazes and the material from the cleaning of tools and work surfaces in the workshop. A line of pieces we call “Sediments”. In addition, we achieve original pieces by repairing those that may have been broken with different techniques.
How we recycle
Under the sink, we have arranged some buckets in a chain so that the dirty water of ceramic material does not go directly to the drain, but rather decant those substances. All this material is recovered and used as clay or glaze to make a series of more artistic pieces.
