Trimming tool. It is used to hold the clay piece on the bat when trimming. We have made several prototypes until we arrived at this design which is comfortable and easy to use. Its shape allows the hand to be placed in different positions according to the potter’s preference.
It is available in two sizes, a smaller one for cups and pieces with a smaller base and a bigger one for plates, etc.
It consists of two parts joined by a steel bearing. Each piece is 3D printed in PLA, a plastic material that is ecological, renewable and biodegradable under certain temperature and humidity conditions. It is obtained from raw materials from nature, such as corn starch.
